Fantastic Post About How Government Works

My friend Mish Shedlock over at Sitka Pacific runs one of the best blogs in the entire world in my opinion. Today, he has an excellent piece about how the US congress works and I thought it was pretty spot on as to how the Japanese government works too! Hell, it is right on target as to how government's all over the world work.
This is hilarious!

  1. Perfect! Spot on. Except where it says at the end that we can do better. Unless someone is talking about getting rid of government, it's not going to get better. Changing which pig has its snout in the trough won't make anything better. (Ron Paul and clones excepted)

  3. Yep. It is true. If it exists within the realm of current politics, it won't get better.
There's not a dime's worth of difference between a Republican and a Democrat and not a yen's worth of difference between the LDP and the DPJ.

Comments must be succinct & relevant to the story. Comments are checked frequently and abusive, rude or profane comments will be deleted. I’m just one of many bloggers who answer questions online and sometimes for the press. I usually handle questions about Japan, marketing or the economy, so in those areas I’m more likely to make sense and less likely to say something really stupid. If I post something here that you find helpful or interesting, that’s wonderful. This is my personal blog. If you don't like what you have read here then, just like when you go into a restaurant or bar that allows smoking, if you don't like it, there's something at the front that has hinges on it and it is called a "door."
