Why the Japanese Can Drink Beer Easier

Bits and Pieces shows us why it's easier (and faster) for the Japanese to get drunk drinking beer. It's the cans!

The Japanese even have superior beer can technology (trust that this matters when you are drinking with pals!)


It says, "Why don't we have this in the US? The little dent makes opening the can so much easier on your fingers."

By the way, that's a Sapporo Beer. The two best beers are Sapporo and Yebisu (IMHO)...

    Mike,

    There is very little interest in the US for "quality" products, especially mass produced beer. There are three very important factors that US retailers consider when selling anything: price, price, and price.

    That little dent on the top of the can will cost extra in creating a new tooling. Also, that little dent may be patented and US beer producers won't want to pay a royalty on top of the tooling charge.

    More importantly, if the beer inside tastes like shit, who gives a damn how easy it is to open the can?
