Why We Won't Fly to the USA Anymore

The airport security is nonsense. I can fly a non USA based carrier and go to any East Asian country, beautiful South Pacific island country to lounge on the beach, Hong Kong, Thailand or even most European countries and have people actually greet us at the airport with smiles and welcome us to their country. And, when we leave, they wish us well and ask us to kindly come back - AND they don't run their hands on my crotch... Or make me stand in some stupid body scanner.

Just thinking about airport security in the USA pisses me off... Here's George Carlin talking about it better than I ever could... And today it's even worse.

Before 9/11, my company used to send teams to the USA to make programs and they spent well over $50,000 a trip. No more.

We don't fly to nations full of insane people and insane airport security and a mad police state.

Now they are testing drinks bought inside the airport!? Idiots! And idiot Americans for putting up with this stupidity:

While waiting in the Columbus OH airport for our flight to Oakland, I couldnt help but notice the two TSA women that were "testing" any and all liquids that people had in their hands. Now remember that this is inside the terminal, well beyond the security check and purchased inside the terminal...just people waiting to get on the plane. My wife and son came back from a coffee shop just around the corner, then we were approached. I asked them what they were doing. One of the TSA ladies said that they were checking for explosive chemicals (as we are drinking them).I said "really..inside the terminal? You have got to be kidding me". I asked them if they wanted to swab us all. She responded with something like, yes sometimes we need to do that. I then asked if she wanted a urin sample...none the less, the TSA is way out of control. I understand that my ranting to one of these $11.00 per hour TSA goons probably does nothing, but you have to say something. Whats next...perhaps the TSA will come to your home prior to your drive to the airport? The police state of the US is OUT OF CONTROL!

Thank you sir, may I have another?

TSA agent admits detaining people is not really about airline safety:

This was inside the terminal at the Houston airport. I was not allowed to board a plane (even though I had already been through airport security) because I drank my water instead of letting the TSA "test" it. The TSA agent finally admitted that it wasn't because they thought I was a security risk-it was because the TSA agent, Louis Godeaux, was mad at me!

I was able to get on the very next flight out of houston-and even managed an upgrade! (thanks United)

Sorry for crappy phone video-but the audio is what I wanted to post.
I know this is not really news (it seems like the TSA is retaliating all the time against people), but it was a little satisfying to get that statement on video.

  1. Have you known people who have gotten fed up and left the US for good? Stuff like this should make marketing other countries easier: "Do you remember when you were a human being? Take a break from the police state. Visit [Tokyo, Macau, etc] today!"

The unions also have not gotten to the flight attendants. So I bet your wife is not too happy when she catches you admiring the 20-something flight attendants when flying ANA, JAL, or Air Asia.

Remeber Yakov Smirnoff? Many of the jokes he did about the Soviet Union can now be re-used/recycled for the US. *sigh*
