Stop Gun Crimes! Demand More Gun-Free Zones

Wow! What a fool I have been! Here all this time I thought the best way to stop gun crimes was to look at the real problems America faces like teenage pregnancy, birth out of wedlock, drug abuse, war on drugs, a population pumped full of prescription drugs (kids too), fast food, chemicals and processed foods, poor public education, foreign wars built on lies, aggression, a corrupt government (Wall Street and Big Bank bailouts on the backs of taxpayers), the TSA, NDAA, FEMA, Homeland Security, extraordinary rendition, assassination of American citizens, 48 million people on food stamps, 25% of all American children living under the poverty line and homeless, the destruction of the Middle Class... the list goes on and on...

What was I thinking?

The answer was right in front of my face! We can totally eliminate gun crimes by making more Gun-Free Zones!

Yes! It's worked like a charm in Chicago too!

Please refer to: Chicago: America’s Gun-Free Killing Field

Chicago, one of America's most anti-gun cities, has just recorded its 500th homicide. This is another banner year for Mayor Rahm Emanuel's tightly controlled non-gun "paradise." Breitbart recently reported that 440 school age children were shot in 2012 in Chicago's paradise. Breitbart's Awr Hawkins writes:
These numbers are well above those for the 2011-2012 school year, in which 319 Chicago students were wounded and another 24 were killed.
Nonetheless, it has been noted that the school where Rahm's children attend to their education has an armed security guard. Additionally, his children also have the benefit of an armed escort to get them to and from school, just like those Hollywood celebrities who clamor for gun control for their admiring fans while they enjoy full-time, armed bodyguards.

Wow! You know I bet Rahm Emanuel ordered the Police to ignore these shootings so he can use it to fear monger people into accepting a gun ban. His infamous quote is "Never let a crises go to waste".

  4. Maybe cities like Chicago would have less crime if they were Democrat free Zones?

  5. It is too bad there are so many confused commentators on this site. The type who read Lew Rockwell every day and then read "books" by the people who inhabit the same closed intellectual world as Lew Rockwell.

They are caught in the same confused loop denying reality, and couldn't even begin to perceive reality if it came smashing in their face.

Denying reality won't make aliens any truethier either.

  6. And anonymous at 2:11 am does what everyone else who is against the freedom of people to choose to do as they wish: Another "argument" lacking in any logic or substance. Just for once, I'd like to hear an argument based on analytical logic and a line of reasoning rather than "driving tanks through holes" and those who stick to jingoism rather than substance.

  7. Outlaw/severely restrict ammo sales:

"If you frequent "Survivalist" websites, you'll find that one of the most pressing topics discussed is gingerly called ammunition life span management. Ammo has a shelf-life. Even good ammo. Guns are forever, but ammo degrades, even if stored in precisely proper conditions and humidors that criminals don't often have. "

For the Non-US, Broken Windows-style policing (including aggressive moves to reduce illegal guns) would do wonders in places like Denmark.

Western Europe needs something closer to American crime fighting to improve the level of security that people feel. Europeans are lucky that they generally may worry about getting mugged, but rarely dying from guns, unlike in the US, where it is a hourly occurrence. It's so banal at this point that nobody pays attention.

Here's a link to the body count since Newton. 489 dead.

Comparisons to the countries that are vastly different than the US, may help you provide some data points that support your thesis, but those comparisons are misleading, and ultimately irrelevant.

I’m just one of many bloggers who answer questions online and sometimes for the press. I usually handle questions about Japan, marketing or the economy, so in those areas I’m more likely to make sense and less likely to say something really stupid. If I post something here that you find helpful or interesting, that’s wonderful. This is my personal blog.
