We're back once again to the Top 3 video countdown for Feb 8, 2019! and today is a cornucopia (FIVE!) of hot new Japanese rock bands!
First up is a band that is slated for guest appearance on my FM radio show on Sunday, March 3, 2019! (Check it out! The Mike Rogers Show” every Sunday live on InterFM 89.7 in Tokyo and Radio Neo in Nagoya 79.5 and nationally broadcast on Radiko.jp (Internet radio). Their name is the Fadeaways and they are one of Tokyo's best-kept secrets!
I first heard about the Fadeways from Cynthia Ross of the legendary B-Girls fame!
The Fadeaways are a three-piece band who simply put their bio as: "Garage Punk band in Tokyo, Japan. we inspired from 60s Garage, 70s Punk, 80s Neo garage, and 90s Garage Punk." I think they are way cool!
Here's their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/thefadeawaysjapan/
Next up is a band that will appear on my radio show this Sunday, Feb. 10! They are called "The Childish Tones." Childish Tones feature playing toys in their act and they have a hot new hit song! The song is a cover of the La's classic, "There She Goes" and it features Idol singer Usakura Beni as guest vocalist! This band is really happening and Usakura Beni is heading for stardom in Japan!
They don't have a Facebook page, but they do Twitter: https://twitter.com/CHILDISH_TONES

Next up is a band inspired by the Sex Pistols and the Ramones, who will appear at the prestigious UK "Camden Rocks Festival" who were introduced to us by Yudai Hirano. The band's name is Mutant Monster!
Mutant Monster's bio states: "Formed in 2008 by sisters BE and MEANA during their first year of high school, later to be joined by drummer CHAD in 2012, MUTANT MONSTER found inspiration from the punk rock sounds, with bands like The Clash, Sex Pistols, and The Ramones influencing the band’s creation.also Elvis Presley etc..."

Next up is a band that will appear this Sunday on my radio show too! They are from Kobe Japan and they call themselves the Tomboys!
The Tomboys had two songs played on the world famous Rodney on the Rock radio show on Sirius radio in the USA this last Feb. 3, 2019 - and Rodney loves them! Wow! Well done, girls!

The Routes are lead by Christopher Jack, who intelligence tells us has the flu at this very moment! The Routes bio states: "No gimmick, no bullshit... Stomp'n'Grind Garage Rock, Garage Punk, Surf, Rhythm and Blues, Psych... Whatever the hell WE want to hear!"

Comments must be succinct & relevant to the story. Comments are checked frequently and abusive, rude or profane comments will be deleted. I’m just one of many bloggers who answer questions online and sometimes for the press. I usually handle questions about Japan, marketing or the economy, so in those areas I’m more likely to make sense and less likely to say something really stupid. If I post something here that you find helpful or interesting, that’s wonderful. This is my personal blog. If you don't like what you have read here then, just like when you go into a restaurant or bar that allows smoking, if you don't like it, there's something at the front that has hinges on it and it is called a "door."
