The Top 3 Video Countdown for April 25, 2019! Sour Ops, Fadeaways (Jpn), Peawees, Paris Street Rebels!
Welcome back to the Top 3 video countdown for the week of April 25, 2019!
First up today is a band from Nashville and Memphis, Tennessee, and their name is the Sour Ops! Their bio states: "Sour Ops is a collection of some of the most talented rock ‘n’ roll musicians from Nashville and Memphis, veterans of beloved Tennessee bands like Sixty-Nine Tribe, Snakehips, Triple X, Neighborhood Texture Jam, and Tav Falco and Panther Burns, among many others. Led by singer, songwriter, and guitarist Price Harrison – a ridiculously-talented polymath who, aside from being a talented musician, is also an architect, photographer, video producer, and owner of the band’s Feralette Records label – Sour Ops also includes skilled music-makers like bassist Tony Frost, guitarist Mark Harrison (Price’s brother) and drummer George Lilly."
Next up are the Peawees from La Spezia, Italy. "The story of The Peawees begins in La Spezia, Italy, back in 1995, when three teenager join forces and release a debut album clearly based in punk rock. From that point the band has toured the USA, UK and Europe releasing records on various labels all over the world.
Active for over 20 years they have never ceased contaminating their sound through punk, rock n roll, garage rock and soul rhythm ‘n’ blues." If you are a fan of the Clash or the like, you are really going to like this!
At #1 this week are the Paris Street Rebels from the UK.! Their bio states;: "Paris Street Rebels are a Rock'n'Roll band from Ballingry, Fife, Scotland.
Our generation’s not yet fulfilled our destiny if I’m honest. We all occupy a unique and significant sliver of history that in the ages to come will surely will be seen for what it is...Revolutionary. No other generation before or since will simultaneously know the innocence and ignorance of the old 20th century and be cruelly forced to fall for the teenage dream just as the internet age rendered this outdated idea obsolete. Some will lament, imitate and outright parody these outdated models of performance and poetry....after all it seems like the only logical action when all the cool kids grew up listening to the 20th centuries greatest cultural monuments. Nina Simone. The Doors. The Beatles. Buddy Holly. Nirvana. Oasis. The Smiths. David Bowie. Bill Hicks. Muhammad Ali. We are no different."
