@Mike, Thanks for reinforcing my opinion that Japan is one of the most fascinating places on earth.
If you like traditional Japanese instruments playing modern music, and I do, this is over the top excellent. For shamisen in particular, the Japanese musician, Agatsuma, often plays western music. He's great and you can listen for free on Youtube. Just search for "agatsuma".
