The Top 3 Video Countdown for June 28, 2019! Bad Mary, Shonen Knife, Syteria, Kung-Fu Girl!

First up is a band that is coming to Japan at the end of August, 2019. Their name is Bad Mary. You can check out their Japan tour schedule here: https://www.facebook.com/badmaryband/
Their bio states: "Drawing influence from the likes of Blondie and The Ramones, Green Day and Paramore, Bad Mary has created their own strain of punk that takes you back to New York in the 70’s but with a modern vibe. Following on from their critically acclaimed debut, Better Days, released in 2013, the high octane four-piece group – led by powerhouse lead singer Amanda Mac, Mike Staub (bass/vocals), Bill Mac (drums) and David Henderson (guitar) – split their latest blasts of infectious, in your face songs into two driving EPs, Killing Dinosaurs (2015) and We Could Have Saved the World (2016). The band makes their home on Long Island, New York and have played classic venues such as Arlene’s Grocery, Bowery Electric, Trash Bar, and Highline Ballroom. Bad Mary were in the lineup of Warped Tour when it hit Jones Beach in 2015, the Liberty Music Festival in Philadelphia in 2016, and have scored airplay on U.S., U.K. and Australian radio." Next up at #3 is a band that was introduced to us by the all-knowing, Cindy Kona (The curator to the stars!). The band's name is Syteria. Syteria has a great pedigree! From their online bio: "Featuring Jax Chambers from the legendary Girlschool, Keira Kenworthy, Julia Vocal (Calvo) and Pablo Calvo, Syteria are a four piece UK rock band formed in 2015. "
At #2 this week is a band introduced to us by music critic Stossy Reid! Mr. Reid says that this album could be "The Best Album of 2019!" You listen to this and you be the judge.
There is little known about Kung Fu Girl excepting I can't find their Facebook page nor their Twitter page. So, I guess we have to trust the opinion of Stossy Reid!
At #1 this week is a band that does not need an explanation because they'been famous for over two decades! It's Shonen Knife and their latest brand new song!

“Ghostroads – A Japanese Rock and Roll Ghost Story,” enjoyed its World-Premiere at the Raindance Film Festival in London on Sept. 25, 2017, and was released by a major Japanese motion picture company and in theaters all across Japan. The DVD and Blu-Ray went on sale all across Japan on June 13, 2018! It also enjoyed its Canadian theatrical release on August 31, 2018!

About Mike in Tokyo Rogers: Mike has been a professional music/TV/radio/anime-related program producer in Japan since the eighties. He began in the music business in 1977 as lead vocalist with the legendary Los Angeles Punk Band, “The Rotters” (Sit on My Face Stevie Nix.). As a university student, he was assistant to the legendary Rodney Bingenheimer (Rodney on the ROQ – KROQ Los Angeles from 1980 ~ 1981.) Mike was the first and only foreigner in Japanese history to become the General Manager of a major Japanese broadcasting station (TV Tokyo owned InterFM). Has produced a few smash hit programs (some real losers, too!) and several of Tokyo’s highest rated and most famous radio programs. A recent hit Internet TV program was “The TV Show” (Set Program with “Ninja Slayer”) which, between April – Oct. 2015, garnered over 10 million viewers. He is currently producing and hosting “The Mike Rogers Show” every Sunday live onwww.koradio.rocks.
Also Mike is the creator and founder of the Mt. Fuji – Atami Film & VR Festival. Also his life’s dream is his just completed full-length motion picture, “Ghostroads – A Japanese Rock and Roll Ghost Story,” which enjoyed its World-Premiere at the Raindance Film Festival in London on Sept. 25,2017, and was released by a major Japanese motion picture company and in theaters all across Japan from Sept. 2017 ~ Mar. 2018. The DVD and Blu-Ray went on sale all across Japan on June 13, 2018! His next project, “Matsuchiyo – Life of a Geisha” world premiered at the 2018 Raindance Film Festival in Oct. 2018.
