I am also making a special program just for the fans of Ninja Slayer and that show premieres on that new "Ninja Slayer" show! It's a special program in a program. I t's still Top Secret, but I can share some tidbits. Yesterday, we had a shoot and did some video production and several beautiful Japanese girls came to the studio and dropped our jaws with their Ninja antics as well as their swim suit photo session!

Shibuya Fruits! Girls in Shibuya & Harajuku

I was planning to going out to Shibuya and Harajuku to take photos of the fashions of the girls of 2015. But every time I get ready to go, like today, it rains.

Well, I did get out to Shibuya for work, but it was too rainy and cold to find the good fruits.

I did find these two girls. Look at the nails on the girl on the right!

Japanese Schoolgirls Now "Wearing Panties on Their Heads" Trend

OK. My friend in California, "Al", has written to me to ask if this "story about Japanese girl's wearing panties on their heads" trend is true.

I checked. It's true... Sort of... I'm not saying that there is a trend whereby Japanese high school girls are wearing panties on their head. I'm saying that it is true that there is a story about Japanese girls wearing panties on their heads as being a trend.

Well, no... Seeing is not believing. This is Japan after all!

And whenever there's this sort of nonsense of the Geek variety about Japan, I don't have any problem finding out about it. There's only one place to even bother looking to find the answer: The Akiba Blog!

I'm not saying this "trend" is true at all. All I'm saying is that I found this article; it is true that there is an article. Today, near the station, I saw dozens and dozens of high school girls walking home from school and did not see a one with panties on her head.

Akiba Blog has photos and the "story." It's in Japanese but you can use Google translate to get the story in English though.... But why bother? They say a picture speaks a thousands words, right? What more is there to say? 

Go there and check the story... For me, every time I look at the Akiba Blog, I feel like I have to take a shower and that's what I'm going to do right now...

Yesterday I put up a blog about how women in Japan were having problems finding enough eligible men for dating and marriage. At dating events in Japan, that ratio of women to men at some of these big dating events is about 7 women for every three men attending the events. It's gotten so bad for male attendance that a big company that runs these sorts of dating services told me that they are allowing eligible men in for free!

Also, note, this is, in a way, my service to you guys who don't have Japanese fonts on your computer nor are you able to access Japanese sites so easily. I will place these girls names in Roman alphabet along with their names written in Japanese. If you see a girl you like, then just copy and paste her name (that's written in Kanji - without the parenthesis), into a search engine (Google, Youtube, etc.) and wallah! You're there in her living room!

Somebody Kill Me! They Now Have AKB48 Dolls for Sale! All 90 of the Girls are Now Dolls!

Argggghhhh! I've died and gone to pop schlock musick hell! The worst music unit, AKB48, since the last one Japan came out with, whoever that was, has now been made into dolls! You know, like Barbie Dolls? I know my friend Ryu Oni over at Monkeyman in Japan will just be dying to get his hands on these!

Someone get me a barf bag!

Weird? Not for Kyoto University of Art and Design and Yasushi Akimoto, the Steve Jobs of otaku (supergeeks) in Japan. The school just hosted a hit exhibition of dolls based on the gals in the band he produces, AKB48.

At 90 members, AKB48 is the Guinness-certified world's largest pop band. Its members are all females in their teens and early twenties, and all its bubble-gum singles top the charts on the day of their release. (Oh, goody! - Mike)

The music is, shall we say, an aquired taste (Read: it sucks); it sounds like arcade game tunes drenched in a massive one-part vocal harmony. Yet intense otaku fandom has lifted the hydra-headed, miniskirted band to the highest levels of Japanese acceptability. It's even acting as Japan's unofficial representative in China. What makes this particularly disgusting is that girl's do not like AKB48, just geeky fat nerds in Japan. I'll bet they'll all be undressing the dolls with one hand and playing with their pud (pardon my French) in the other. 

Hell, if the cops are going to be busting people for weird and lurid behavior at SM clubs, why aren't the police stopping this? 


The AKB48 police? Oh, now, I might have just given these people another idea to make money!
