The US Geological Survey measured it at 8.9. The tsunamis around Miyagi, Fukushima, and Sendai were well over 7 meters with the larger ones over 10 meters.

The "big one" that well overdue has not hit Tokyo it. The epicenter of the one that hasn't come yet is predicted to be in the Kanagawa (Yokohama) prefecture.

The videos of ships being pushed a kilometer inland in Iwate are bone chilling. Cars, homes, and containers look like bobbers in the water.

The damage must be in the trillions of dollars...

The only effective way of detecting people under the rubble - it's infrared camera
Оnly amphibious military hovercraft can travel on the destroyed roads and deliver food and medicines and to evacuate large groups of people.

MIKE AND OTHER POSTERS IN JAPAN: ARE YOU OK?

HAVE BEEN CHECKING THE BLOG. PLEASE GIVE US A SHOUT WHEN YOU HAVE A CHANCE.

MIKE, please let us know how you are! concerned! Here in hawaii we're still under tsunami watch, but expect nothing. the waters are too deep around hawaiian islands - we got a 4 ft water rise which receded. It did hit some store front windows on the beach level, flooding stores. Nothing like what Japan got.
Please update us! Aloha, Cindy

Seismic activity is the result of a solar flare on 13-15 February 2011.
The largest number of thermographs (Portable Thermal Imaging Cameras), to search for people under the rubble by fixing heat of the human body, have the Japanese Self-Defense Forces. Мost of these cameras mounted on military equipment. Some quantity of IR cameras have their manufacturers in warehouses.
Dubai can help to Japan more than any other. because in Dubai is concentrated 20% of construction equipment (mostly cranes) that may needed to clearing concrete rubble.
Аdequate logistics for the delivery of this equipment has the U.S. Army and the operating companies of largest aircrafts An-124.
